OCCUPY WALL STREET: The Game of Colonialism and further nationalism to be decolonized from the “Left”

October 17, 2011

Not the first time I’m hearing this. I support the broad open space that has attracted folks who I don’t see at other public events concerned with all other kinds of justice. I hope it keeps pushing those boundaries out farther and farther and fosters dialogue and creativity. I also feel deeply this statement of fact that ALL this land is already occupied, by us. Tonight I heard a displaced sister of this land speak, exposing raw, 58 year old (and counting) wounds. Wounds of the people and wounds of the land. May the only game, in the end, be ‘connect the dots’.
